JSS Sanskrit Pathashala, Suttur, Nanjanagud Taluk, Mysore District

Sanskrit is a member of the Indo-Iranian sub-family of the Indo-European family of languages. Its closest ancient relatives are the Iranian languages Old Persian and Avestan. Within the wider Info-Europen languange family, Sanskrit shares characteristic sound changes with the Satem Languages (particularly the Slavic and Baltic Language), and also with Greek.

In order to strengthen the this ancient language, JSS Mahavidyapeehta has established 9 Sankrit school in the various places of Mysore and Chamarajanagara districts.

JSS Sanskrit Patachala, Suttur is established during the year 1962 with auspicious blessings of Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. The main objective is to expose the Sanskrit language among the rural students offering major subjects viz., Veda, Agama and Sanskrit literature.
